PLAYOFFS!

Forget waiting until next week. If you want to make the playoffs it's time to show up, because it’s do-or-die this week. Normally, by this stage of the season, the playoff picture is relatively clear. This year? Total chaos. We’ve got Scarps who is 99.9% in, five teams gridlocked at 8-6 and Garrett hanging around at 7-7—each team with a shot to punch their ticket.

Let’s start with Scarpitti vs. Greg. With 9 wins, Scarpitti is sitting pretty. Even if Greg takes him down this week, Anthony and Hayden shouldn’t catch him in points. Consider Scarpitti a lock. Greg on the other hand... Well, if Scarpitti’s a lock, then consider Greg more of a zip tie—secure, but could snap at any moment. What a wild year it’s been for Greg. First in overall points, but also in the running for the "shit stick." Not that anyone feels bad for him—have you seen his bankroll? With a win, he’ll clinch the #1 seed heading into the playoffs. With a loss and a few unlucky bounces in other matchups, and he might just swear off RedZone for the rest of the year.

And then there’s the glorious mess of the 8-6 squads, held together by day-old chewing gum and all squaring off against the bottom half of the league—eager to spoil playoff hopes. Could this be Hayden’s long-awaited return to the postseason after a 3-year drought? Will Gangus clinch a playoff berth for the 3rd straight year? Maybe it’s Schilling’s chance to extend his playoff legacy to an unprecedented 9th appearance and 7th championship. Or perhaps it’s Anthony’s turn to avenge his back-to-back beatdowns in the 2021 and 2022* championships. And let’s not forget Garrett—written off last year, and we all witnessed how that turned out. Proof that ANYTHING can happen.

So here we are: December. The road to glory is narrow. Some will rise, others will crumble. It’s time to see who’s built for the big moment. Buckle up, boys. The playoffs start now.
