Special announcement from 1/7/23
Let me start by saying... this sucks. All of it. Nothing about this is fair. To anyone. What happened to Damar Hamlin was terrible. No one ever wants to see it, but it's great to hear that he's on the road to recovery. Do you know what else is terrible and unfair (to me)? The fact that I have to talk about Anthony and Gangus... and worry about their pretend football points. I had to read articles, and subreddits, and watch youtube videos, and deliberate for days on what to do about this championship match. What would have happened? What happens now? Is this fair? Is that fair? What if the game is rescheduled? What if it isn't? What if, what if, what if?
And well, it turned out to be pretty simple. The NFL canceled the game, the "what ifs" will remain a mystery and Yahoo called the match. But most importantly it confirmed yet again that fantasy football is a cruel and unusual cold-hearted bitch.
So, in accordance with Yahoo's official fantasy football website and confirmed here on our league website, this man WILL go down as our 2022 champion. However, that DOES NOT mean it is without question. The seed of doubt will forever remain and this championship will be perpetually tainted with the rotten whiff of those "what ifs". You may choose not to recognize him as your champion and I wouldn't blame you, but I highly doubt he gives a shit. Gentleman, without further ado. I give you your 2022 440 & Friends League Champion...
