Please Vote - Schedule Change/Dues Increase
What's up fellas? Please bear with me on this post. Now, there are a lot of dollar signs below, but I want your sign off on this financial shit so there are no surprises. If this makes your head spin, just say " I'll pay whatever, let the commish decide" and we'll move on. Otherwise, read carefully and please vote on the one question below. Also, let me know if you agree to the payout structure and changes to the bonus categories - then we are good to go.
So, as we look forward to the 2021 season, the NFL has thrown us a little curveball with an added week to the schedule. Now, we could leave our schedule alone, but I got the sense that everyone (myself included) was on board with an added week of fantasy football. I know we agreed upon a $7 annual increase to the dues a few months back. But, this added 15th week puts a wrench into that plan. To cover off on the dues increase plus the added bonus week, I will be asking that we pay a $10 increase this season bringing the total to $145 each. For the increase moving forward starting in 2022 we have a few options.
Please vote: Click here - Do the Dues Poll
A) Leave increase at $10 annually (2022 = $155... 2023 = $165... etc.)
B) Drop increase back down to $8 annually (2022 = $153... 2023 = $161... etc.)
C) $10 increase every other season (2022 = no increase... 2023 = $155... 2024 = no increase... etc.)
D) No increase next year
Please state if you agree or disagree with the changes to the payouts and bonus categories below
For 2021, I've added the majority of increase to playoff pool. $75 went into the playoff pool, $5 to survivor, and an added $20 for the extra bonus week. If we end up doing a $10 annual increase we would alternate between adding to the playoff pool and bonus pools. For example for the 2022 season, the $100 increase would go towards the bonus pools ($25 added to survivor and $75 added to weekly payouts - which would bring those payouts up to $25 per week). The playoff pool would remain the same. In 2023 the playoff pool would increase by $100 and the bonuses would remain the same.
The allocation of dues for 2021 is as follows:
$145 x 10 = $1,450 (previously $1,350)
Playoff pool total: $1,075 (previously $1,000)
Survivor pool: $75 (previously $70)
Weekly Bonus pool: $300 (previously $280)
Playoff pool break out:
1st place - $480 (previously $450)
2nd place - $295 (previously $275)
3rd place - $190 (previously $175)
4th place - $110 (previously $100)
For the added bonus week, I've added "Hammer Toe" - which will go to the field goal kicker with the longest made field goal that week. Not highest points. Single longest field goal. A tie would go to the kicker with higher total points that week. I also adjusted the Bench Warmer bonus to be for the single highest scoring player on your bench instead of combined bench total. This is to avoid anyone sitting 4 QB's on their bench to win the $20.
Hope this all makes sense. I'll give you guys until Sunday to weigh in.

@Greg Cameron @Anthony Pantalones @deanwmoran @GANGUS @garrett.girouard @Graham Spiller @mark.scarpitti @jcoyne817 @mfhayden @sreags5 I was just having a side bar with Gangus. I want to clarify a few things. The dues increases (beyond this season) are not “necessary“ but more for fun. We don't HAVE to raise the dues every year. The thought behind raising dues is to raise the stakes. More money = more fun when you win (take it from me, its great). We voted to increase this season by $7 before we knew about the added week in the schedule. Now we need to account for that week plus our passed vote on the $7 dues increase. I rounded this year's number up to $10 so it was a clean number. The added $10 for this season does need to happen. At the very least it needs to be $8. But increases for 2022 and beyond is what I'd like to vote on. I don't want to revisit this year after year. I'd like to get a system in place.
To make it easier for you to vote. I put the question into this poll. Link below.
